SLM MGN12H XY Joints First Impressions

As expected, DHL delivered my package today, so here's the first look at the SLM parts.

They look pretty good, aside from the warping on the bottom. Also, they are 0.2mm thicker at the base than expected, but it's nothing that some sandpaper and a flat surface can't fix. I was more interested in the bearing fitment without any post-processing. The crush ribs inside the hole worked well, and I could press the bearings in with a small vise without much effort. I was thinking about making the holes slightly larger, but we can end up with worse contact. The next related post will be about the post-processing and the full assembly. I will have to convert my machine from 12mm back to 10mm belts to see them in action.

UPDATE: We're currently working on a better version. Based on member feedback, the crush ribs can be pretty inconsistent, and it would be better to have these as a single part. Unfortunately, that would mean no integrated live shaft support. Milling these would also be pretty hard because the countersinks aren't accessible.
