The First Moves with Printed Parts - Zero
It took me more than a couple of evenings to get this thing running again, despite using the same Pi and Octopus Pro. I was expecting to plug everything in the same way, change the config from Cartesian to CoreXY, and continue where I left off a year ago, but it turned out to be harder than that.
So instead, I used this as an excuse to become more familiar with Kalico paired with a fresh MainsailOS install. The first time I tried on my V2 with a dirty install, I encountered an issue with Z-hops on the support interference layers, so I had to go back to vanilla Klipper.
The built-in improvements for sensorless homing with AWD are super nice, and I'm excited to try MPC and other cool stuff. Once I'm more familiar with everything, I'll go back and install it on my V2 as well.
Below is the printer doing 1000/25k/25scv test speed iterations with 4x2504s. I kinda forgot how quiet things can be with lower currents and plastic parts.
