SLM Part Prices - Toolhead Development

It looks like the SLM XY joints will be here for Monday's post, so until then, it's time to focus on the next order, which will be the toolhead parts.

The SLM parts will cost around 60-70 dollars + shipping, even lower than our previous estimates. I'd say pretty remarkable, considering this is the hotend, the extruder, and the all-metal toolhead body itself.

At this price point, we will not be pursuing backward-compatibility, especially not in the early adopter days.

I also wanted to say I've been feeling terrible about the delays with the toolhead. I'm to blame here since The_Adeo's been very quick with the duct changes and everything that was needed. I'm hoping to push through this phase and get the thing going. I think the main problem now is that the concept evolved quicker than I could keep up with IRL, and it's been hard to finish something that's already different in my head based on what I've learned and seen in the community.

Hopefully, by the time the toolhead parts arrive, the Milled Beta Kits will be on their way too. From what I can tell, LDO and probably others as well have been kinda busy working out the tariff situation.
