The Road to the Beta - Monolith Zero
Zruncho and I already have these working prototypes, and our experiences have shown us better approaches in multiple areas for the next iteration. Nothing is finalized at the moment, so we can easily redo everything from scratch before involving more people. Besides, the XY gantry’s simplicity makes future upgrades cheap and straightforward.
Because this thing completes a full plate of functional parts in about two hours, it’s not the ideal workhorse printer. As a result, the target audience will likely put greater emphasis on aesthetics than with the larger printers.
So I am commited to delivering a very aesthetically pleasing package in the form of this high-performance PFA. I’ve already consulted with SyNoon on some of the shapes used in the design that work well together. His suggestion of minor changes to the side panels alone has already shown me the potential for improvement.
